Defra Funded Goat Welfare Meetings
I am pleased to enclose an invitation to the first
Defra-funded meetings on goat welfare.
There will be 6 meetings throughout England during late January
and February 2012.
ADAS have campaigned hard for funded meetings for the
minority livestock sector and the levels of attendance and the feedback
received will be reviewed and details will be submitted to Defra at the
end of this series. We would
really like as many people as possible to attend in order to make these
sessions a success.
If you have any further ideas on how we can build
awareness of these meetings and encourage attendance, please contact me.
We look forward to your help in this matter and hope
to see you at one of the meetings.
Thanks and regards

Seeking New ideas for the BBGS website
We are looking for new ideas for our website, open to every member,
if you have an idea or any suggestions please do let me know.
So far it has been put forward that we have an equipment for sale and
equipment wanted page, so if any of you have items that you need or
items to sell please get in touch and I will get the ball rolling.
If enough of you take part we could also have a gallery page of
funny, unusual or your favourite pictures of your Boer's.
How would you all feel if we ran our own BBGS photo competition? and
maybe at a later date had our own calendar?
A buyers guide on avoiding
the pitfalls of buying Boer goats will soon be listed on the website.
Look forward to hearing your ideas, Marilyn (Web Editor)
