Staffordshire County Show 2018
Staffs County Show certainly offers value for money to their livestock exhibitors. Money back system on the pens and very welcome food vouchers all help and is really generous! The Boer Goat marquee is situated in a tranquil corner of the showground amidst very large mature trees with the exhibitor parking right next door which makes life so much easier. Showing has really expanded at this show and numbers were well up on last year.
The weather was a little damp but no one was down-hearted and the canopy of trees was very useful and helped to protect us.
Newcomers to be welcomed to this show were Jan-Ernst & Vanessa Montagne who had driven all the way from East Sussex and also Philip Knapp and his lovely family. They all had extremely good results too.
The very experienced Maureen Ross was judge and she and her husband Malcolm had travelled all the way from Aberdeenshire. Mrs Ross has previously judged Boers some time ago and was very pleased to see how the classes were improving year on year.
Staffordshire County Show is one of the most established in the Country and provides a wonderful day out for all the family. Everything from an outstanding Woodland Area to Steam Engines and everything in between. The livestock sections are top class and very well supported.
